Allocation Policy

There are several accommodation options available during the program. Please refer to the details below:

• 1)Primary Accommodation: "ELM Takadanobaba" (up to 150 rooms)
• 2)Unique Student Dormitory: "Wakei-juku" (Male only) With meal option

• 3)Nearby Apartments (room size and other facilities are similar to ELM Takadanobaba)

Notes

• *Meals are not included for options 1) and 3).
• *Accommodations will be allocated by the Office, and you will not be able to choose your accommodation.
• *Accommodations are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, after the accommodation fee is confirmed by the Office.
• *Requests for changes to rooms or facilities will not be accepted.
• *If you have disabilities, please feel free to consult with us.

Apartment Type

Bedding is provided in the accommodations, but towels are not, so please bring your own. Each room has a small kitchen, and cooking utensils are available upon request. All accommodations during the program will be assigned by the Waseda Summer Session Office. Please note that, in principle, it is not possible to change your room once it has been assigned.

Dormitory Type

Wakeijuku（和敬塾）

Wakeijuku is a male dormitory, located 10 minutes by walk from Waseda campus. This dormitory was established in 1955, aiming “Human Growth through daily community life”. It is also famous for the set of a well-known novel “Norwegian Wood” by Haruki Murakami.
You will stay at a single room with bed, desk and chair, and use common cafeteria, kitchen, bathroom and lounge.
